After returning home last night, I was struck with how different things are between France and the United States. Everything felt so big, expanded and new back home in California, and let me tell you, even after only a month, driving a Jeep wrangler was strange. It was great to see my family and my dog especially, but I am going to miss Paris a lot. I liked being surrounded by the culture, the history and the artwork everywhere I go. I'm also going to miss the chance to just wander around a city that so much has happened in. I felt connected to the world while there.
I was also connected to my favorite story.
My last day in the city, I spent about 3 hours inside of the Garnier Opera, just wandering around, sitting on the steps, writing, taking selfie photos and just hanging out. I got to see tech rehearsals going on with all sorts of variations of what the stage could look like and took a massive amount of photos. I am going to miss being so available to go over there whenever I please.
Will be posting within the next few days photos and such, thus changing the way this website looks and feels. Hope you will check it out :) I will also be adding posts from my personal Tumblr account with photo collages and specific posts from this trip, including my review Phantom at Her Majesty's Theatre.
Thanks to those who have been reading and I'm excited to add what I've got here for you all!
